Flat Messages ("we," "our," or "the App") is an Android SMS messaging application. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding your information.

Flat Messages is designed to send, receive, organize, and display SMS and MMS messages.

Phone Number
The App may access your phone number where permitted by Android to provide messaging-related functionality.
Notifications

Notification content is processed locally on your device.
2. Data Storage
Messages, conversations, drafts, and application preferences are stored locally on your device.
Flat Messages does not upload your SMS or MMS messages to our servers.

Read Contacts

These permissions are required only to provide messaging functionality.
4. Default SMS Role
Flat Messages is intended to function as your Android default SMS application.
Certain messaging features require Flat Messages to be selected as your device's default SMS app.
If Flat Messages is not your default SMS app, some features may be unavailable.
5. Advertising
Flat Messages may display advertisements in future versions of the application.
Advertising may be provided through third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob.
These advertising services may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, diagnostic information, approximate location derived from IP address, and other information as described in their own privacy policies to provide and improve advertisements.

6. Analytics and Crash Reporting
The current version of Flat Messages does not use analytics or crash reporting services.
If analytics or crash reporting are added in future releases, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Flat Messages does not sell your SMS messages, contacts, or personal conversations.
Your messages remain on your device unless required by Android system functionality or shared by you.
Third-party advertising providers may process information necessary to display advertisements, subject to their own privacy policies.

We use reasonable measures to help protect information stored by the application.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
